If you type just "restaurants" into the bing search box, bing will
attempt to return information about restaurants in the local area.
Unfortunately, at present, London is likely to be defined as your local area if
you are in a small town in the UK. So you will probably need to exercise your
fingers a bit more and type in the name of your town as well - this worked well
for me, and returned a map showing the location of several nearby restaurants,
with user reviews. Google, of course, does this as well - so use bing and Google
to get a
comprehensive account of the restaurants that you are interested in.
Other keywords to play with to see if bing is handling local search well in your
area are: traffic, business, people, collections, movies, theatres, hotels.
