Tesco Store Locator
The Tesco store locator is available from Tesco's main website, but is made available by Multimap, the largest UK based mapping company. Multimap is the main competition for Google maps in the UK, and offers service like this to many other UK companies.
When you are taken to a Multimap map you will actually see it labelled as a product of "Bing" or "Microsoft". "Bing" is the latest name for Microsoft's internet engine, i.e., their main competition for Google. You see these names, rather than "Multimap", because Microsoft bought out Multimap and integrated their mapping facilities into their internet engine.
To the left of the Multimap map on the Tesco store locator page you see the Tesco specific widgets to help you find any or all Tescos online. The most important widget is the search field. This allows you to search by town or postcode to find details of nearby Tescos. Online details of these Tescos are also provided, including distance from you and opening hours.
