Ask Jeeves an unanswerable question for his 10th birthday

24 Oct 2010  Since Ask Jeeves launched in the UK ten years ago over one billion questions have been directed at Jeeves. The Ask Jeeves website is now asking everyone to help answer its top 10 "unanswerable" queries, these are:

1. What is the meaning of life?

2. Is there a God?

3. Do blondes have more fun?

4. What is the best way to lose weight?

5. Is there anybody out there?

6. Who is the most famous person in the world?

7. What is love?

8. What is the secret to happiness?

9. Did Tony Soprano die?

10. How long will I live?

Ask Jeeves has signed up celebrities like hairdresser Nicky Clarke, TV presenter Sarah Beeny and astrologer Russell Grant to try to answer the queries(!) This is like when Jeeves asks Bertie Wooster a serious question. The audience, and Jeeves, knows that something stupid will come back in response. The question does not get answered, but at least we, and Jeeves, get a laugh. So take on the mantle of Bertie Wooster, provide your own daft answers at uk.ask.com/unanswerables.

The promotion has a serious aspect. Ask Jeeves will soon be launching a permanent interactive community section that will allow users to get serious answers from real people.
