Create your own search engine for free with only a few minutes work.

Create a Google Search Engine for Free

You can create your own search engine for free by piggy backing on the search facilities of the mega search engines. For instance, this site has a search link at the top right of every page that takes you to "my own" search engine. This gives you the choice to search just my site, or the whole web.

Of course I did not spend several months, and mountains of money, creating my own search engine from scratch. I got Google to create my search engine for me for free, and it only took a few minutes.

To allow your visitors to use Google from your website you need to register with the Google Free service, or already be registered to place Google AdSense ads on your website. You simply copy a HTML form from the Google Free web search page  and paste it into the HTML on your own site. 

If you are registered for Google AdSense, the Google Free search on your site will return advertisements as well a the usual search listings. You make money when visitors click on these ads.

Other companies are devoted to providing search engine solutions for third parties. The advantage of these solutions is that your pages do not have to be listed in a major search engine for results from youyr site to be displayed.
