Multimap Journey Planner - Multimap Draggable Driving Directions

Multimap recently added the ability to use draggable driving directions, following the lead of Google Maps. It makes a useful addition to the Multimap Journey Planner. 

With Multimap draggable driving directions enabled you can directly alter any route shown on a map with your mouse. As you drag the cursor over towns and features the route automatically alters along with the driving directions. 

If you use Multimap draggable driving direction often, keep checking the offerings from both companies, they are likely to compete heavily to optimise this very useful feature. 

At the time of writing, dragging the driving directions on Google Maps is faster, and the map is better defined.

Multimap UK covers the whole of the United Kingdom, that is, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. Great Britain includes England, Scotland, and Wales.

In summary, the Multimap Journey Planner provides a superb journey planning interface, including useful features like draggable driving directions. Combined with great driving directions it provides one of the best journey planning experiences. But it has strong competition from companies like MapQuest and Google Maps.

Google Maps provides features that supplement  Multimap offerings, including the original implementation of draggable driving directions.
