8:00pm - 9:00pm Five How the Other Half Learns 1/3  Wells Cathedral School is an ancient, fee-paying private school in Somerset. Preston Manor is a typical inner city comprehensive in  Wembley, north London. Three pupils from each school swap places for a month. The results are unexpected. 

9:00pm - 10:00pm BBC1 The Apprentice 6/12 Sixteen candidates fight it out over twelve weeks to become apprentice to Sir Alan Sugar, the self-made multi-millionaire. The candidates compete for a six-figure salary and the chance to learn from the successful businessman.  As Sir Alan said, "this is the job interview from hell...." The candidates are living  in a luxury townhouse in central London, and are split into two teams to perform a  weekly entrepreneurial task. Each week, the winning team gets a luxury treat. The losing team's project manager chooses two team members to face Sir Alan in the boardroom. They each defend themselves whilst Sir Alan and his advisors, Margaret Mountford and Nick Hewer decide who will hear Sir Alan say: "You're fired".

10:00pm - 11:00pm Channel 4 Desperate Housewives 19/24 Superb black comedy drama based in an up-market American suburb. Teri Hatcher plays Susan Mayer, an accident prone sweetie undecided about pursuing an Englishman or the love of her life Mike Delfino (James Denton) who, after a bang on the head, can't even remember they were lovers. Tom Scavo (Doug Savant) , who gave up being a house husband to run a pizzeria is laid up with a bad back. His wife Lynette (Felicity Huffman), who gave up her advertising career to work in the pizzeria, is now the boss. Gabrielle Marquez (Eva Longoria) is beginning a relationship with mayoral candidate Victor Lang ( John Slattery). Her estranged husband Carlos is beginning a relationship with  Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan). Bree Hodge (Marcia Cross) is married to shady dentist Orson Hodge (Kyle MacLachlan). Her son Andrew ( Shawn Pyfrom) has  transmuted from troubled teen to perfect son. But her daughter Daniella (Joy Laurne) has taken over the title by cheating on her best friend (Susan Meyer's daughter) and becoming pregnant by Edie's teen-rebel nephew.
